Congressional Recognition Presented to Shen Yun
HOUSTON—Bronson Woods, special assistant of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of the 18th congressional district of Texas, presented congressional recognition to Shen Yun Performing Arts at a reception held after the show staged at the Brown Theater at Wortham Center on July 3.
“I like to thank this production for blessing us with your story, your culture, and some of your history. Truly was I moved by every single curtain—truly amazing, moving, and inspiring," Mr. Woods said.
“On behalf of Congressman Sheila Jackson Lee and her constituents who would like to present to you a congressional recognition that reads the history of Shen Yun … we’re calling it ‘Shen Yun Performance Day’ in Houston, Texas.”
Shen Yun brings to the stage a portrayal of ancient China through classical dance and music complemented by 3-D animated backdrops and a full orchestra blending ancient Eastern and classical Western composition.
“Indeed, on behalf of constituents of 18th congressional District Texas, I take great pride in recognizing Southern USA Dafa Association [the event organizer] and the Shen Yun Performing Art performance [that] has succeeded in taking the challenge of serving ancient Chinese ways of history. We thank you on behalf of Congressman Sheila Jackson Lee.”
